Management’s Musings

106 shooters experienced a blue-bird day of Grand trap shooting at Sunnyvale and weretreated to a well managed shoot and an outstanding Grand dinner for the awards ceremony. Great job Sunnyvale Gun Club. Ron Ingram accepted the High Team/Club Trophy for the Los Banos Sportsmen and helped us announce the endowment, by Ron, of a "Most Improved Shooter" category award for next season. Thanks Ron for this gracious contribution to the sport of trapshooting. Congratulations to Steve Michelucci for harvesting the Perfect 50's purse.

Our office staff did a stellar job given the ever present time constraint at the Sunnyvale Club. Next year you will be seeing Bob Graves handling procurement and selection of the trophies and Mike Ross has also graciously volunteered to help us with squadding each month. Welcome guys!

The season long duck decoy raffled culminated with Kirk Mitchell winning the beautiful hand-carved Drake Mallard decoy carved and donated by Dan Buchheit. Dan, thanks so much from all the South Bay shooters! Also, thanks from "us" to James Davis and Paige Martin, dedicated and accomplished season long Junior shooters, for selling another bundle of chances for the drawing during the Grand.

Advertisers have begun to show their colors for the 2011 season, We have two new supporters in Joe Nannetti and Mike Mazzucchi. However, we want to thank Shelly Bartholdi for being the first advertiser for 2011 to "show us the money".

We made a couple of announcements at the awards ceremony. The treasury is robust for 2011 and we will both be retiring from managing the league at the end of the season. We would like the new management volunteers to come forward and begin training for a seamless transition in July of 2011. We've held it together for three going on four years and it is time to term limit us out.

We hope your holidays were great and if you haven't heard, Ron Ingram lost his battle with lung cancer on October 25th. We will miss him.

Perpetual Purse

$120.00

To win, the participant needs to shoot a 25 straight from any trap. In the event of a tie, the payoff is divided among the total number of shooters that shot one or more 25’s.

Perfect 50's

$217.00

To win, the participant needs to shoot 50 straight at Handicap. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the purse, including the fees from that shoot, will be divided between the Perfect 50’s participating at that shoot. To be eligible, a shooter must have shot at least three previous South Bay Trap League meets between the current and previous years.
